Actually USA isn't very inviting for immigrants unless they have a pile of money. We went down to Jamaica last year and used the nanny services at the place we were staying. The nanny we had was great. My wife and the nanny talked regularly, and the nanny regularly talked about wanting to come to America. When we got back to DC, I looked into for her. The process was incredibly restrictive and expensive - more expensive than most people on the island of Jamaica have the money for. When I looked into it, I was amazed at how closed off we really are. I can go down to Jamaica with my family with just our passports, but the nanny can't simply come up for a visit, even if I pay.
