Three Wise Quotes

I picked at this book. Kept thinking to self: Dude, Buddha said it first (and better).

It really found its pace in the late chapters.

And great cover, but it kind of belied the pleasingly heavy philosophical content: Schopenhauer, the Greek and Roman Stoics (Seneca, Marcus Aurelius), Sartre and Camus, all the big grim heavy-hitters are there.

The early chapters read kind of like a rant against modernity and the human condition, but he pulls out some very useful positive prescriptions before the end.

I like the guy.
