Some of you recently received an exuberant, triumphal e-mail to the effect that I finally got a proper flat. Here it is with photos (and slightly revised to support the photos I wanted to include):
To: all-yall@michaelfuchs.org From: michael stephen fuchs <msf@michaelfuchs.org> Subject: Off the Street Date: Thu, 22 Apr 2004 08:21:00 +0100 I'm pleased to report that - just when everyone, including and in particular me, had more or less given up on this - I've moved into a proper flat! Yep, after nearly *two years* of homelessness, I'm semi-rooted again. It's kind of overwhelming actually. . . Anyway, it's an entirely cute little studio flat in Kensington (well, it's technically just over the border in Earl's Court, but let's agree to call it Kensington . . .), with a nice kitchen (fully appointed), extremely pretty little bathroom (shot here prior to major towel purchases), 12-foot ceilings (and fun club-house sleeping arrangements), a fold-out dining table with *four entire chairs*, and - visitors take note! - an actual couch! Huge picture window with a nice view out back and amazing light in the mornings (shot from up in the no-girls-allowed secret clubhouse). Great street and neighborhood. Also closer to Hyde Park, so I'll spend more time running in it, and less to and from it. And, mainly, overarchingly, I'm out of that fleabag hotel. Yes! Glory! Come visit. Comfy couch in Zone 1 London; hard to argue with. (Also, broadband.) Love, Michael
