Thanksgiving and Kindness
And but so five years ago, I published this piece for Thanksgiving

Well, this year, thanks solely to a certain indescribably awesome someone, I got one of those feasts myself, beyond my wildest dreams:

That's quinoa-and-tomato-stuffed courgettes, hassellback sweet potatoes with garlic butter, mixed greens (rainbow chard, cabbage greens, and savoy cabbage), gravy and cranberry sauce, biscuits and whipped maple butter, chipotle Brussels sprouts, smoked-paprika roast corn, and cumin-and-orange baby rainbow carrots plus apple pie with sweet-potato crust and cream.
In addition to being completely free of animal products (and thus cruelty), it's also totally sugar- and grain-free (aside from a bit of wheat flour alongside the chickpea flour, in the biscuits) so you get to live forever in perfect health, plus be thin, which are nice bonuses.
But the main point, of course: OH MY GOD WAS THAT GOOD!!!
