I grew up listening to George Carlin's Class Clown album in secret. (I seem to recall my aunt buying it, not having a good sense of what she was getting into, and then needing to get it out of my grandmother's house and into my mother's, and mine.) You can listen to the whole thing on YouTube. In any case, I've always felt George Carlin to be the best of all possible comedians.
As a small last farewell to this enormously funny and rather insightful man, perhaps you will enjoy one of my favourite of his routines: George Carlin on God.
George, here's hoping you've gone on to meet Joe Pesci.
