Okay, this is pretty damned cringe-making, but here are a huge number of photos of me. (Why??!!) Basically, I've gone through the last ten or so years of my life, as documented in this space, and put together a great-ish hits collection (in reverse order). Or, at any rate, the ones that grabbed me at the moment I was flipping through them.
You can click the arrows, or use your arrow keys, to flip through. The captions provide a little context and the date is generally a link to the dispatch the picture came from, if you want more of the same.
Oh I've provided you a nice soundtrack to enjoy while you peruse my vanity: a masterful, melancholy, longing track, called "Blindfold", by the second best band in the history of the universe, Curve. Get the Flash Player to hear this rockn' track.
Basically, in a bizarre and probably enormously baffling nutshell, I've signed up for Facebook. (Why I did that requires a whole dispatch of its own.) And while I decline to put anything of my own in that grim, walled garden, I have realised that when you meet someone who is old and new again, the first damned thing you do is check out his/her photos. And it's a bit of a let-down when he/she doesn't have any.
My position was and is that, if you want pictures, or anything else on me, they're strewn all over the Internet and pretty damned easy to dig up. But, then, I realised that this does kind of require digging through the 350-some dispatches in this space, and one could easily get bogged down in existentialist maundering and neo-conservative war-mongering. So, here's the picture book version.
Also, it was a slightly interesting exercise to review the last ten years of this "life" as you call it.
Oh, finally, they're pretty much my favourite pictures of myself, so inevitably they look a lot better than I do.
